PUBLIC NOTICE

TO THE TAXPAYERS OF THE BEDFORD HILLS FIRE DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a resolution was duly adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the BEDFORD HILLS FIRE DISTRICT, Town of Bedford, County of Westchester, State of New York, on the 13th of January 2026, subject to permissive referendum as provided for by the General Municipal Law.

An extract of the resolution is as follows:

WHEREAS, the Replacement of Cardio Machines in the Fire District Fitness Room is deemed necessary to maintain the health and readiness of Fire District personnel and meet the emergency services needs of the residents of the BEDFORD HILLS FIRE DISTRICT, and

BE IT IS RESOLVED, that pursuant to the laws and regulations applicable, and in particular Section 6-g of the General Municipal Law, that the Cardio Machines shall be purchased and that the cost and expense for such, Cardio Machines and advertising shall be expended from the Capital Reserve – Apparatus & Equipment Repair and Replacement Fund upon authorization of the Board of Fire Commissioners, at the maximum estimated cost of $80,000.00, said funds to be transferred from the Section 6-g General Municipal Law Capital Reserve – Apparatus & Equipment Repair and Replacement.

This resolution shall not take effect until thirty (30) days unless in the meanwhile a permissive referendum as provided by the General Municipal Law is required to be held.
